Bill of Materials Generator is a program that generates engineering billsof material from CAD assembly drawings. It utilizes the capability of CADprograms to insert properties or attributes into part drawings.Bill of Materials Generator assists the designer in inserting attributesinto parts; extracting any subset of the inserted information fromassemblies; gathering, sorting, and totaling the extracted information;and re-inserting it as text into the drawing. The information format canbe completely and easily customized. The extracted information could beused with most commercial spreadsheet programs.Bill of Materials Generator can be integrated with AutoCAD andComputervision Personal Designer CAD software.
